This morning I attended the "Bris" of SHLOMO DOV SILBERMINTZ, son of YITZCHAK & CHAYA SILBERMINTZ, grandson of SHAINY & MARK SILBERMINTZ, Great Grandson of GITEL & ARTHUR MARX, and Great, Great Grandson of BABBU (Amush)..
I was there only as a Great , Great, Uncle, but FISHEL GOLD (and of course, Gloria) were there as Great, Great, Great Uncle and Aunt. 5 GENERATIONS. (K'nhora).
Anyway, I want to share some of my Observations of the Bris with you, in rhyme, of course.
The speakers were great, speaking on point
About the importance of the day
But not too many in the whole joint
Were hearing what they had to say.
For though what they said was easily understood
and certainly worthy of mention
The food, which was both, plentiful and good
competed for everyone’s attention
The Coffee and Danish on every table
Plus the Eggs, Pancakes and French Toast
Not to mention Bagels, Lox and the Sable
Occupied people the most.
Even I, whom you know, hardly eats
Acted a bit like a traitor
For I , too, was busy, packing up treats
To bring home to Babbi, “For Later”
On balance, the “Bris”, being on a workday
Was truly a wondrous sight
Even the Mohel was heard to say
“Everything came off all right”.
MAZEL TOV TO ALL;
ZAIDA
